QRUNCH Veggie Burgers Highlighted in Washington Post Blind Taste Test

As a Pescatarian, and someone who for some reason just can’t manage to pull off a veggie burger without it falling apart, I am always on the hunt for new veggie burgers to chomp my teeth into. The unfortunate reality is that many main stream veggie burgers are not free of gluten, or many other allergens.

However, the food allergen community now has QRUNCH birgers on our side. These babies are Gluten, Wheat, Nut, Soy, Dairy, Egg and Corn free and come in a varity of flavors.

While I haven’t tried them yet, although I intend to soon, it seems that others find them to be a tasty alternative to other veggie burgers on the market. Just recently, the Washington Post did a blind taste test of veggie burgers and QRUNCH received a relatively good score compared to other brands. Take a look at the list, which includes a variety of brands and also outlines the price per patty.

Many non vegetarians don’t respond to positively to veggie burgers, but personally, I think one of the commenters is right in that People will be less disappointed if they approach veggie burgers as a separate food, and not as some attempt at bogus beef burgers.” (From Fluxgirl).

Kudos to QRUNCH for making an allergen free burger, I am looking forward to trying them and will share a review once I do! I used to enjoy the Dr. Praeger’s brand products before going gluten free (even before going vegetarian). It would be nice if more veggie burgers would move in the direction of being gluten free.

What’s your favorite veggie burger? Is it Gluten or Allergen free?
