Potluck Dinner Club: British Invasion

Two weeks ago we had another Potluck for our Potluck Dinner Club. We picked November 23rd as the date to try something difficult and creative for gluten free fare: British food (which also encompassed Irish, Welsh, and Scottish). The reason? That was the date of the 50th anniversary of Dr. Who. Yes, I am a nerd and LOVE Dr. Who. The Potluck was smaller than some others, but it was a gluten free success. Only one dish was not gluten free, but it also contained meat so that was a compromise. So, what was on the menu?

From Left to Right: Tea service station, Gluten Free chocolate chip scones made with cashew flour (top level of two level tray), Gluten Free cucumber dill sandwiches (bottom level of two level tray), Welsh Rarebit (Gluten Free Toast with Cheese sauce), Shepherd’s Pie (not gluten free), and Colcannon.  
My favorite had to be the scones and tea sandwiches. They were so dainty and so delicious! They were also the perfect place to land a mini tardis:
