This CNN health blog post goes a bit into detail about the varying levels, and difference between those levels, that one can be sensitive to gluten. It is a good quick source for anyone who may think they are somewhere on the ‘spectrum’.

High Transaminase Levels Common in Celiac Disease
High Liver levels were found in the CD population in this study, suggesting the need to monitor liver levels in individuals who start a gluten free diet for CD. However, the study is not conclusive as to whether Liver levels should be used to diagnose CD.
