BioLineRx Enters Clinic with Novel Treatment for Celiac Disease
And so it begins. The first patient has been enrolled in the BioLineRx Phase 1/2 study of their agent BL-7010. BL-1070 is an agent which reduces the immune response to gluten in those with Celiac Disease by preventing the absorption of gliadin (the protein in gluten that the immune system in those with CD reacts to). It will be interesting to see the results of this study later in 2014!
