Gluten Free News Round-Up: April 14th-20th

Today starts my Birthday Weekend so this is just a quick update about this weeks news! Hope you enjoy!

More Kids Toys Going Gluten-free
The need for gluten free products beyond food and cosmetics is often an under recognized area, which is why I am happy to see this article touching on the needs for gluten free toys. Play-doh, finger paints, and stickers can often get a kid, who puts everything in their mouths, sick. Noting that the market is picking up on gluten free toy needs is likely a huge relief for some parents!

Celiac Diseases Takes a Toll on Your Teeth
In this article Allergic Living stresses the often overlooked area of dental health in Celiac Disease. It stressed that several conditions including enamel deficiencies, cavities, structural issues, canker sores and other symptoms are good indicators of CD in an individual. For many of these conditions, a diagnosis and gluten free diet won’t fit the issues if they already exist, so it is important to be diligent about your dental health when you are newly diagnosed!

Gluten Free Society Launches At Home Test
At home tests make diagnosis simpler for individuals fearful of the doctor, but it would be great if they were less expensive!
