Gluten Free Events Coming up on Long Island New York

It’s that time of year again, time for some great gluten free events locally! As usual here is the run down of the two biggest events in the area, the Celiac Disease Awareness Day at Citi Field and the Gluten Intolerance Group of Long Island’s GF Vendor Fair. This year they are both the same weekend, but don’t fear because you can still hit up both:

Gluten Intolerance Group of Long Island’s 6th Annual Vendor Fair
Join GIG, and MANY vendors, at this years Vendor Fair in Hauppauge NY. Tickets are 10$ per person (16 and under free), and if you come Saturday you get a 5$ off coupon for Sunday’s admission. Doors are open 11am-5pm Saturday  and 11am-4pm Sunday, and with so many vendors from GlutenFreeda to Joan’s Gluten Free Great Bakes it’s well worth the 10 bucks for all the goodies you get to try and samples you get to take home. This even is a TON of fun, and if you look closely at the photo at the above link you’ll see Mike and I, since we volunteered last year.

Celiac Disease Awareness Day at Citi Field
Join the Mets as they compete against the Phillies April 28th, starting at 1:10pm. Ticket prices are as follows:

 44$ Caesars Box Tickets
56$ Caesars Box and 18$ of credit towards food/beverages/merchandise
69$ Caesars Box and 30$ of credit towards food/beverages/merchandise
Part of the ticket proceeds go to Raising Our Celiac Kids (R.O.C.K.) of Long Island. Doors open at 11:40, so come early for some pre-game fun. It’s a good opportunity to see a game while sitting with some like minded Celiac Disease supports, and get the opportunity to enjoy some gluten free food!
I love this time of year! Not only because of the events, but also because it’s spring. But most importantly, April is my Birthday Month! So, get out there and have some gluten free fun on Long Island!
