Sweet Note Bakery Review and Giveaway

Cinnamon Raisin SNBA love of bagels runs in the blood of New Yorkers. They’re tough, chewy, and if toasted just right they develop a good crunch. I myself have always been a fan of the everything bagel, or if I’m in my home town a sunflower seed bagel tasted just right with vegetable cream cheese. After going gluten free bagels just weren’t the same. Most are delicious yes, but  textures often resembled bread more than bagels. That was, until I tried Sweet Note Bagels.

Developed by some crazy bagel ladies (that’s what they call themselves) this line of bagels are authentic New York Bagels recreated gluten free. They’re smaller in size, similar to the old school New York Style bagels, which is a quality that makes them just the right portion. Contrary to other brands, their bagels aren’t made to last long but to taste simple and fresh with a denser bagel texture.  I had the opportunity to try three flavors; cinnamon raisin, plain, and everything.  Cinnamon raisin was full of big juicy raisins, not some tiny nonsense, with subtle hints of cinnamon that didn’t give it a processed feel. Everything bagels were ON POINT, even the husband couldn’t deny it tasted  like an authentic bagel. The plain were simple and perfect for an egg sandwich.

All in all, they’re the ideal bagel for those that want a new Plain SNByork style bagel although smaller compared to today’s deli bagels. As a bonus they’re free of the top 8 allergens and they’re kosher, and they’re currently available in a variety of flavors beyond those I mentioned including salt, garlic and herb, unicorn swirl (rainbow), and other seasonal and online exclusives. The only downside to these bagels is they require being microwaved or baked prior to eating, they’ll be too hard to eat otherwise from my experience. I started bringing a bagel to heat up, and a side of cream cheese, to work in order to accommodate this need and it is well worth it!

Want to try some for yourself? Pick some up at stores across the country such as CVS, Shop Rite, and Whole Foods, buy them online, OR enter this sweet little giveaway below to be one of three winners. FULL details below.

  1. Since I can’t have my preferred veggie cream cheese (thanks cow dairy allergy), I still with a mix of goat cheese and herbs to spread on my bagel (or toasted and dipped in soup!)

  2. Ah I’ve been dying for a good bagel since I went gluten free a tear and a half ago. I love whipped cream cheese, plain with flavored bagels, and strawberry (my favorite!) with plain bagels.

    1. I love to toast them and try nut butters and different organic jams 🙂 Sometimes some raw honey too.
