Giveaway & Review: LoveBug Probiotics

~Giveaway available at the end of this post~

What is your take on probiotics? More and more people are turning to probiotics to improve gut health and thus overall health, and with recent studies pointing towards a relationship between Celiac Disease and gut bacteria, many in the Celiac Disease community are moving in this same direction. Enter LoveBug Probiotics, one of the newest probiotics to hit the market. LoveBug Probiotics is the result of CEO Ashley Harris’ struggle with Celiac Disease, Candida and other gut issues that left her sick just last year. Since her diagnoses probiotics have played a strong role in improving her health, which gave her a passion for producing a gluten free probiotic line specifically for women.

LoveBug produces three different blends of probiotics: Here’s the Skinny (Digestive Health), Colds Suck (Immunity Boost), and Yeast is a Beast (Women’s Health). All three are free of GMOS, preservatives, sugar, soy, gluten, and lactose. They’re also made in a new way to ensure the probiotics get to your gut. BIO-tract, allows for delayed release straight to the gut by protecting probiotics from stomach acids, a feature unique to LoveBug. The brand also doesn’t skimp on it’s packaging either, stocking their probiotics in a fancy blue glass bottle packed with organic cotton. I even got an adorable little mini heart ice pack with my package!:

I had the opportunity to try LoveBug’s Colds Suck probiotic over the past month. Colds Suck contains four strands of probiotics, in addition to some cold kicking Vitamin C, Zinc, an Echinacea. I choose to use these ones because with the chance of the seasons I almost always catch a cold, especially with my work schedule that tends to pick up in October as the schools begin their substance abuse prevention events. I took a pill each morning after brushing my teeth, and although strange I can say that the pills themselves do not taste overly processed like other medications you might take. This was inviting although I did find that my mouth was a bit dryer in the mornings after taking them, something easily remedied by taking them at a different time or with a drink. I feel these pills kept me a bit more alert throughout the month, my energy levels seems a bit higher. They also seemed to kick my health level up a notch throughout a very stressful month, so I’d say they did their job. Digestive wise I didn’t notice much of a difference beyond more ‘consistency’, to explain things nicely, but for me the energy level is the most important piece.

  1. I would love to win this because my husband is taking 15 different prescription medications along with insulin injections every day plus he gets a shot in each eye once a month and I believe it is really effecting his stomach. He complains all the time now that his stomach doesn’t feel good. I think this would really help him but we just can’t afford to buy anymore things that may or may not work. Thank you.
