Full of Flavor and Mischief: Marshmallow Mischief Review

Recently, I had the honor of being sent a 9-piece sample box of products from Marshmallow Mischief containing some out of this world rice and marshmallow treats. This company takes comfort food and sweets to an entirely new level, introducing the taster to a flavor that is “reminiscent of your childhood, yet sings the songs of different cultures all at the same time”. Sounds great right? Well, YES! They are also a company which gives back to charity, but let’s move onto the samples themselves! You can read more about their amazing story here.

Marshmallow Mischief has approximately 49 flavors at this point, of which I tried 8 in their 9-piece sampler: Plain Jane, Lava Aloha, Italian Kiss, Gingerlicious, Peach, Love and Peanut Butter, Tall, Dark and Crispy, The Big Kapuna, and One, two, Chai! Chai! Chai! I give them a lot of credit for the catchy and unique names, which each ‘blissful bite’ lived up to in full volume.

Each was distinct and took your tastebuds on a trip around the world. With fresh and bold flavors, the One, Two Chai! Chai! Chai! took you to an early morning in India (or to an early morning in a Binghamton University lecture hall), sipping a delicious Chai tea and savoring every bit of the flavor. The Italian Kiss was distinctly reminiscent of helping yourself to some hazelnut gelato on a summer night. For my, my favorite was the Gingerlicious which reminded me of ginger hard candies you can pick up at some thai restaurants, yet not so over powering. My least favorite was actually the Plain Jane, which was too sweet for my tastes and had no other flavors to counteract that like the over ‘blissful bites’.

Each flavor was a mouthful of bliss, worthy of the title that the owner has given them of  ‘blissful bites’. I loved how simple, yet distinct, these flavors were and how well they molded together to give you a delicious treat. I felt each had a match in the unhealthier realms of snacks. If you have a sweet tooth, but aren’t looking for the calories, I think that Marshmallow Mischief is the way to go to satisfy yourself in a unique and tasty way! Try them out!
